What Agency Am I?

Peruse the following descriptions of federal criminal justice—related agencies, programs, and bureaus and find the matching organization in the list. Hint: Use the web addresses in the list to check the agencies’ websites.

  1. I am a research, development, and evaluation agency of the Justice Department that researches crime control and justice issues, particularly at the state and local levels. I also evaluate programs, policies, and technologies.

  2. I am a federal resource that offers justice and substance abuse information to support research, policy, and program development worldwide.

  3. I was created in 1929 by the International Association of Chiefs of Police to provide reliable, uniform crime statistics for the nation. Today, several statistical publications, such as Crime in the United States, are produced from my data, which is provided by nearly 17,000 law enforcement agencies across the United States.
