Lucy Read |
Lucy commissions undergraduate textbooks and associated digital materials in land law, equity and trusts, employment law, media law, jurisprudence, international and comparative law, IT law, and environmental law. Additionally, Lucy is responsible for titles published for LPC and BPTC students and new publishing for the forthcoming Solicitors Qualifying Exam. Lucy is keen to hear from lecturers whose enthusiasm for teaching excellence translates readily into engaging writing which recognises and responds to the needs of students. Lucy would be keen to discuss ideas for innovative textbooks and digital materials which support student understanding at all levels. Lucy joined the Higher Education department at OUP as a development editor in 2003, moving into a commissioning role in 2005. Before joining OUP, Lucy worked on practitioner and student titles at Jordan Publishing and prior to that for Butterworths (now LexisNexis) where she was involved in in the early days of digital publications for lawyers. |
