Senior Commissioning Editor
Telephone: 01865 353507

Helen is responsible for managing and commissioning HE publishing in legal skills and legal system (and related), contract law, tort law, EU law, competition law, and the Blackstone’s Statutes series. She is also responsible for the HE criminology and criminal justice list.

Helen is editorial lead for the forthcoming Principles to Practice series, OUP’s response to the SQE (and practice-influenced teaching more generally) at undergraduate level. She also manages our law and criminology custom publishing programme, which allows lecturers to combine content from a range of OUP publications to suit their course.

Helen is keen to hear from lecturers with ideas for new publishing in her areas of responsibility, both textbooks and other types of teaching and learning resources. She would also be delighted to receive feedback on existing publishing and thoughts on how OUP could support evolving teaching and learning needs in her subject areas.

Helen joined OUP in 2007, moving into a commissioning role in 2011. Before this, she did stints in university administration and producing educational resources for an international children’s charity.
