Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB)
UK based charity offering advice and support to people with sight loss. Their website includes a range of links to related resources.

The RNIB site includes a particularly useful section on how to guide people with sight problems.

Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID)
Includes factsheets for patients, as well as information resources for health professionals.

Sense is a UK charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. Their website has a range of resources, including useful information for health professionals on how to help and advise people who are deafblind.

Valuing People
Valuing People is the UK government's plan for making the lives of people with learning disabilities, their families and carers better. The website has a resources section where there are hundreds of papers relevant to people with learning disabilities and links to other peoples' websites, organised by subject area.

Clinical Communication with People with Learning Disabilities
This site is hosted by St Georges Hospital Medical School and gives practical advice on how to communicate with people with a learning disability.

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund
US civil rights law and policy centre directed by individuals with disabilities and parents who have children with disabilities.
