The latest updates about Oxford University Press around the world
John Rutter music now available from Oxford University Press, worldwide
08 June 2016
From 1 June 2016 the US rights to John Rutter’s music have been transferred to OUP, building on a long and successful relationship with the acclaimed composer.
Titles new to OUP include Feel the Spirit, the Joy to the World carol collection, and Amazing Grace, which will augment the sizeable collection already controlled by OUP outside the US.
Ben Selby, Director of Music Publishing at the Press says: ‘OUP is proud of its long-standing association with John Rutter. This latest development gives OUP global distribution of Rutter’s catalogue, reinforcing Oxford’s position as one of the world’s leading choral publishers.’
The Press has a distinguished heritage of publishing sheet music, dating back to 1923. Today OUP is one of the largest and longest-established music publishers in the world, representing contemporary composers such as Bob Chilcott, Mack Wilberg, Gabriel Jackson, and Cecilia McDowall, amongst others.
