Check that you have entered the correct username, password and institution code. If you are unsure of any of these details then please ask your teacher. Please note, only your school can provide you with your login details.
If you forget your username, please note that the standard format is the first letter of your first name and your full surname. For example:
If this is the first time you have accessed a course on Kerboodle, then you should receive an email from email@example.com asking you to activate your account. If you haven’t received an activation email then please check your Spam/Junk email folder. Please make sure that firstname.lastname@example.org has been added to your safe senders list. If you are unsure of how to do this then please contact your IT department.
You can also request for the information to be sent again using the Forgot my details link on the login page.
If you are a student, ask your teacher to reset your password for you. Alternatively, if you have previously added an email address to your profile on Kerboodle, you can click on the Forgot my details link on the login page.
Teachers and Administrators can also use the Forgot my details link in the top right hand corner of the login page. Enter the email address that you used to set up your account in the window that appears and click Reset Password. An email containing instructions on how to reset your password will be sent to you. Please check your Inbox and Spam/Junk mail folders if you have not seen this.
Click on the link in this email. You will be directed to Kerboodle where you will be able to reset your password. It will also show you your username, which you are able to change should you wish to.
If you have forgotten your institution code, then speak to a colleague or your Administrator.
Both teachers and Administrators can reset students' passwords.
Find the student in the User Management module using the search bar or the Groups filters on the left. Select the student and click on Preview above the list. This will open the Preview pane. Here there is an option to Reset Password. Click on the tickbox and click Save Changes. The student’s password is now reset to default, which is the same as their username.
When you create new students on Kerboodle, their default password will be the same as their usernames.
Teachers can find their students' usernames in the User Management module of individual courses. Administrators can find them in the School Users module when they log in.
Please note, if you reset a student's password, it will return to the default.

If you are aware of your previous session and don’t want to proceed then click Cancel.
Although unlikely, it is possible you have seen this message because someone else is using your login. Continue to log in, but you may like to change your password, just in case. To do this, click on your name at the top of the screen, and scroll to the bottom. Follow the instructions to change your password, then click Save Changes.
If you are asked to confirm your account when you log in, it means that your account has not yet been activated. Please note that this is a different email from the one including your invoice number.
