Pocket is a little rabbit who wishes-from his whiskers to his bunny feet-that he might know the meaning of Christmas. When he hops out of his burrow on Christmas morning, Pocket finds some footprints left by children who have been playing in the snow. He follows the footprints to a cosy cottage where his Christmas wish comes true.
- Captures the spirit of Christmas but crosses both religious and cultural boundaries.
- Beautiful writing-a story to relish on cosy Christmas evenings.
- Explores ideas of the senses and feelings but in a palatable way for young children.
- Rich evocative artwork from Russell Julian-working in a softer, gentler style that sets this book apart stylistically from Goat and Donkey but shares the same confident characterization.
