Nurturing a love of maths right from the start

Language open doors. It unlocks worlds of possibility through reading and imagination - but we tend to see it mostly in relation to literacy. We rarely inject the same sense of wonder into maths.

We want to support parents, teachers and educators to make maths part of the story, by nurturing a love of numbers, puzzles and problem-solving in the same way do a love of books and reading. Bringing maths into our everyday environment through talk, play, manipulatives and story-telling is a powerful way to #GrowTheirNumbers.

And if we can give every child a solid maths foundation, who knows what dreams might take flight? That's why we're launching a survey to discover the top dream jobs of children aged 4-18, to explore how maths features in those careers.
