Resources to support students as they transition from
Year 6 to Year 7
The transition between Primary and Secondary school can be daunting for even the most confident of children. As students begin their Secondary school journey, it is important to ensure that they have developed firm foundations for key skills that will continue to be built upon during their time at secondary school, from reading confidence and broadening their vocabulary, to solidifying key maths concepts such as decimals and fractions.
To ensure a smooth transition, in the first term we know that you will be working to identify and address any gaps in students’ learning. Explore blog posts, podcasts, and webinars that we have specially developed with subject teachers, experts and authors to share ideas on how to help students during this period, as well as resources which have been designed to help students who may benefit from additional support.
