From the youngest age Marion Lindsay wanted to be an artist and her great love of stories led her in time to become an illustrator. After graduating from Anglia Ruskin University in 1998 with a degree in illustration Marion went to live in Stockholm where she spent most of her twenties illustrating, painting and translating. During that time she wrote and illustrated her first picture book published in 2001 and held her first solo exhibition of paintings.
Marion came back to England and in 2007 embarked on an MA in children's book illustration, again at Anglia Ruskin University. The MA course was a wonderfully inspiring experience and an opportunity for her to focus solely on children's book illustration. Upon graduation in 2012 Marion won the Egmont Best New Talent award and has gone on to illustrate picture books and chapter books as well as design greetings cards and children's kerchiefs.
