Anna Currey was born in Norfolk, and at 2 years old moved back to the family farm in Ireland where she grew up. At 20, she married and moved to England, but loves to go back to Ireland each summer, staying in a little house up in the hills two miles from where she was brought up. As a child, Ann was very fond of driving around in a pony cart pulled by her lovely fat skewbald pony, and her pop-up book version of Bambi is the favourite book from her childhood. Ann enjoys gardening and keeps an allotment as well as turning her hand to beekeeping.
