Printing, copying, and reproduction

Reproduction of part or all of a musical work or a text in graphic form, either on paper, or in electronic format. This right is sometimes referred to as graphic reproduction.

Examples of frequent requests include:

  • Photocopying licences for pieces that are not available to buy separately
  • Inclusion of our hymn texts in Order of Service sheets or bulletins
  • Inclusion of our materials in music folios, text books, and other third-party publications
  • Inclusion of our materials in dissertations, theses, and journal articles

OUP strives to make its music publications available through licensing in formats accessible to visually impaired people. Please note that we are unable to supply digital files. Please contact music.permissions.uk@oup.com for more information.

All requests should be submitted through PLS Clear (https://plsclear.com/). We recommend searching by ISBN to ensure you get the most accurate search result.

Also, before submitting your request please ensure that you have checked the credit line accompanying the material, the Copyright page and/or the Acknowledgements pages. Although Oxford may have published the book from which you want to reproduce material, we may not be the copyright holder of the material you wish to use. This will especially be the case if the requested material is part of an anthology or collected work (e. g. Oxford Book of...).

Please do not send duplicate requests.
