Brian Steensland is Director of Social Science Research, Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture and Professor of Sociology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. His book The Failed Welfare Revolution received the Mary Douglas Prize and the Political Sociology Book Award.

Philip Goff is Director of the Center for the Study of Religion and American Culture and Professor of Religious Studies and American Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He is author or editor of over thirty books and journal volumes.

James S. Bielo is Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at Miami University. He is the author of Words Upon the Word: An Ethnography of Evangelical Group Bible Study, Emerging Evangelicals: Faith, Modernity, and the Desire for Authenticity, and editor of The Social Life of Scriptures: Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Biblicism.

Adriane Bilous is a PhD candidate in Sociology at Fordham University. Her areas of interest include the sociology of religion, faith-based social movements and organizational strategies among faith-based political movements. Her dissertation explores the connections between religion, gender, geographical context, and activism among millennials.

Joel Carpenter is Professor of History and Director of the Nagel Institute for the Study of World Christianity at Calvin College. His best-known book is Revive Us Again: The Reawakening of American Fundamentalism; and his most recent one is an edited work, Walking Together: Christian Thinking and Public Affairs in South Africa.

Omri Elisha is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Queens College of the City University of New York. He is the author of Moral Ambition: Mobilization and Social Outreach in Evangelical Megachurches.

Michael O. Emerson is the Allyn & Gladys Cline Professor of Sociology and Co-Director of the Kinder Institute for Urban Research at Rice University. He is the author of many research articles and a dozen books, including Divided by Faith: Evangelical Religion and the Problem of Race in America, and his most recent Transcending Racial Barriers (with George Yancey) and Blacks and Whites in Christian America (with Jason Shelton), winner of the 2012 C. Calvin Smith Book Award from the Southern Conference of African American Studies.

John C. Green is a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of Akron and a Senior Research Advisor with the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life. Best known for his research on American politics and religion, he is the author of The Faith Factor: How Religion Influences American Elections and co-author of The Diminishing Divide: Religion's Changing Role in American Politics.

Laurel Kearns is Associate Professor of Sociology of Religion and Environmental Studies at Drew Theological School. In addition to co-editing EcoSpirit: Religions and Philosophies for the Earth, she has contributed to volumes such as The Blackwell Companion to Modern Theology, The Wiley-Blackwell Companion to Religion and Social Justice, The Oxford Handbook on Climate Change and Society, and Grounding Religion.

Gerardo Marti is L. Richardson King Associate Professor of Sociology at Davidson College. He is author of A Mosaic of Believers, Hollywood Faith, and Worship across the Racial Divide.

Stephen Offutt is Assistant Professor of Development Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary. He has an MA in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a PhD in Sociology from Boston University. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked for five years in international relief & development, living in Southern Africa and Central America.

Amy Reynolds is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Wheaton College. Before going to Wheaton, she was Visiting Fellow at Notre Dame's Kellogg Institute for International Studies. Amy's research and teaching interests include the sociology of religion, the international political economy, and the sociology of gender.

Will Samson is a PhD candidate in Sociology at University of Kentucky and Executive Director of the Seminary Stewardship Alliance, an educational nonprofit that develops environmental curricula for seminaries. He was previously appointed to the faculty of Georgetown College. His research focuses on politics, food and the environment, and the intersection of these issues with American evangelicalism.

John Schmalzbauer holds the Blanche Gorman Strong Chair in the Religious Studies Department at Missouri State University. A sociologist of religion, he is the author of People of Faith: Religious Conviction in American Journalism and Higher Education. He is completing a co-authored book on the return of religion on campus. He is co-investigator on the National Study of Campus Ministries.

Glen Harold Stassen is Smedes Professor of Christian Ethics, Fuller Theological Seminary. He is the author of A Thicker Jesus: Incarnational Discipleship in a Secular Age; Living the Sermon on the Mount; with David Gushee, Kingdom Ethics: Following Jesus in Contemporary Context; and editor of Just Peacemaking: The New Paradigm for the Ethics of Peace and War.

R. Stephen Warner is Professor of Sociology, Emeritus, at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His book, New Wine in Old Wineskins: Evangelicals and Liberals in a Small-Town Church, received the Distinguished Book Award of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion in 1989. He was elected president of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion in 2005.

Daniel K. Williams is Associate Professor of History at the University of West Georgia and the author of God's Own Party: The Making of the Christian Right.
