It is contributed to by a team of international experts, each writing on their specialist subject areas.

The Member States of the European Union has been thoroughly updated to include the latest round of EU enlargement and to reflect the increasing significance of Europeanization.
It includes chapters on eight member states from different geographical regions and stages of enlargement, five of which - Spain, Poland, Estonia, Sweden, and Romania - are new for this edition.
The coverage of Europeanization has been expanded in the second half of the book with three new thematic chapters: 'Contrasting States of Europeanization', 'The Europeanization of interest groups and social movements' and 'Europeanization and Sub-national Authories'.
