This is a fascinating firsthand account of an exciting battle fought in Hussainiwala Salient in the Indo-Pak War of 1971 in the then West Pakistan. At the time, East Pakistan was falling into the hands of the Indian Army along with the active collaboration of the Mukti Bahinis leaving the Pakistan Army undermined. West Pakistan thus wanted to prevent further Indian aggression. Led by Brig M. Mumtaz Khan the tenacious troops of 106 Brigade under 11 Division attacked on 3 December 1971, most courageously fought a battle against some heavy odds, and won the Battle of Hussainiwala.
