James Cotton is Professor of Politics, University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy. In Fall 2009 he was Australia Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Washington, DC. John Ravenhill is Professor and Head of the School of Politics and International Relations, Research School of Social Sciences, at the Australian National University, on secondment from the Department of International Relations, College of Asia and the Pacific, ANU.
