Richard Colwell is Professor Emeritus of Music Education at the University of Illinois and the New England Conservatory of Music. He is the founding editor of the Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education and the Quarterly Journal of Music Teaching and Learning. He is also a Guggenheim scholar and a member of MENC's Hall of Fame. He is co-editor of The New Handbook of Research on Music Teaching and Learning, as well as editor of The MENC Handbook of Research Metholodolgoies and The MENC Handbook of Musical Cognition and Development. Peter R. Webster is Professor of Music Education and Director of the Center for Music Technology at Northwestern University School of Music, and co-author (with David Brian Williams) of Experiencing Music Technology

Peter R. Webster is the John Beattie Professor of Music Education at the Bienen School of Music, Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Webster is co-author of Experiencing Music Technology, 3rd edition Update.
Richard Colwell is professor emeritus at the University of Illinois. He founded the Bulletin of the Council for Research in Music Education and the Quarterly Journal of Music Teaching and Learning.
Steven M. Demorest is Professor of Music Education at the University of Washington where he also conducts the University of Washington Men's Glee Club. He is the author of Building Choral Excellence: Teaching Sight-singing in the Choral Rehearsal.
Lisa Linnenbrink-Garcia is an assistant professor of Developmental Psychology in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, with a secondary appointment in Education, at Duke University.
Martin L. Maehr is a Professor Emeritus of Education and Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has served as Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology and Director of the Institute for Child Behavior and Development, both at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Susan A. O'Neill currently holds a faculty position in music education at the University of Western Ontario. As a consultant she has developed professional education programs and contributed to the planning and policy of youth music programs.
Paul R. Pintrich (1953-2003) was a professor of Education and Psychology and Chair of the Combined Program of Education and Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Yaroslav Senyshyn is a Full Professor of Music and Moral Philosophy at Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Education. He publishes extensively in international and national journals.
Bret P. Smith is associate professor of music education at Central Washington University. He has served on the Executive Boards of the Washington and Maryland Music Educators Associations.
Keith Swanwick GRSM, LRAM, ARCO, MEd, PhD, (Hon) FTCL, is Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Education, University of London. Previously he was Professor of Music Education and from 2000 to 2002 was Dean of Research.
