Released in annual editions of 6 volumes, the Annual Review of United Nations Affairs is the only thorough annual survey of major developments at the United Nations.

The 2013/2014 edition includes the full text of all General Assembly, Security Council, and ECOSOC resolutions from the 68th United Nations session (Sept. 2013 to Sept. 2014), along with other key UN documents, including selected reports to the Security Council and selected reports to ECOSOC.

This edition also includes a Preface by the series editors as well as five introductory articles written by expert contributors. The Annual Review of United Nations Affairs series

Since the publication of its first edition in 1950, the Annual Review of United Nations Affairs has stood as the authoritative resource for scholars, students, and practitioners researching the latest developments at the United Nations. From introductory articles on particular topics, prepared by experts on the relevant United Nations bodies, to the full-text presentation of reports and resolutions and the helpful subject index, ARUNA provides a comprehensive tour of each year's UN actions and debates. ARUNA presents comprehensive documentation of the work of the UN on an annual basis, starting in September of each year with the beginning of the regular sessions of the General Assembly. Author Information

Joachim Müller is Director for Management and Finance at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Vienna. He was previously with the UN system for 30 years as Director for Resource Management at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Geneva, Controller at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva, at the UN Secretariat, New York, and at the UN Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna. He has been a UN election observer in Namibia and Angola and written extensively on UN reform and management, including The Challenge of Working Together (2010), The Struggle for Legitimacy and Effectiveness (2006), The Quiet Revolution (2001), and New Initiatives and Past Efforts (1997). He has a doctorate (D.Phil.) in Economics and Management Studies from Oxford University, Nuffield College.

Karl P. Sauvant is Resident Senior Fellow at the Vale Columbia Center on Sustainable International Investment (VCC), a joint center of Columbia Law School and the Earth Institute at Columbia University, Senior Research Scholar and Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School and Guest Professor at Nankai University, China. Before that, he was the Founding Executive Director of the VCC and Director of UNCTAD's Investment Division. He is the author of, or responsible for, a substantial number of publications. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and an Honorary Fellow of the European International Business Academy. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975.
