Oxford University Press Launches New Journal, Global Summitry: Politics, Economics, and Law in International Governance
Released on July 31, 2015
New York, NY, July 7, 2015 - Oxford University Press (OUP) is pleased to announce the launch of a new interdisciplinary journal, Global Summitry: Politics, Economics, and Law in International Governance, which is published in association with the Munk School of Global Affairs and the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. The journal is led by Senior Editors Alan S. Alexandroff, Director of the Global Summitry Project at the Munk School of Global Affairs as well as the Director of Online Research, and Donald J. S. Brean, Professor of Finance and Business Economics at the Rotman School of Management.
Global Summitry is a peer-reviewed print and digital journal publication that features articles on the organization and execution of global politics and policy from academic and policy experts, as well as distinguished former officials and professionals in the field. The journal offers the most up-to-date thinking on international governance and the global order. Content includes articles on the global economy and global politics, examining all aspects — political, economic, legal, and historical — of global summitry.
"Global Summitry, its Editors, Staff and especially its Authors are dedicated to tackling today's most complex global order. Who leads, who follows and how the actors — states, international organizations, networks and non-state actors — meet the growing challenges of the global order — global finance, climate change security — is what you will find in the pages, the videos and podcasts of this journal," said Alexandroff.
"We at OUP are very excited to partner with the Munk and Rotman Schools in launching Global Summitry. We are confident that this new journal will become a valuable resource to both scholars and practitioners in the global affairs community, and we look forward to helping contribute to the academic discourse with high-quality articles and multimedia content," commented Byron Boneparth, publisher at OUP.
The first issue is now available online. The journal will initially be freely accessible.
