Reinterpreting History: How Historical Assessments Change over Time
Joint production of OUP and the AHA National History Center. The theme of the series is the way in which the interpretation of specific historical events evolves over time, a key element in the historian's craft. A critical approach to history that questions underlying assumptions can be best achieved by the study of the evolution of historical writing. In this sense the series has an historiographical purpose: it will suggest the way in which the interpretation of historical issues changes from one generation to the next.
