Oxford Studies in Language and Race is an interdisciplinary forum that positions issues of race, racism, and racialization as central to language-based scholarship. The series publishes leading, state-of-the-art research in the field of language and race, broadly construed, and considers the complexities of language and race both historically and within rapidly changing politics, demographic shifts, migrations, and technological advances of the 21st century. As the study of language and race continues to take on a growing importance across anthropology, communication studies, cultural studies, education, linguistics, literature, psychology, race and ethnic studies, sociology, and other fields, this series represents a timely and urgently needed effort to focus these fields on the central role that language plays in the enduring relevance of race, racism, and racialization in the lives of racially minoritized populations both within and beyond the United States.
