Oxford Studies In Egyptian Archaeology RSS

This series focuses on innovative methodological and theoretical approaches to ancient Egyptian archaeology and material culture. Ranging chronologically from prehistory through to the Roman period, and geographically from Sudan to the Eastern Mediterranean, it seeks to extend and enrich the aims of Egyptian archaeology. The series explores fresh evidence and areas of data that have been severely neglected over the years, including the dynamics of change in the Nile Valley from prehistory through to the Classical period and contextualizing political and social change within the distinct fluctuations in material culture that are observable and quantifiable in the archaeological record. It also embraces interdisciplinary studies drawing on areas of cognate study, that have previously only rarely been applied to Egyptological source materials, including geology, anthropology, sociology, economics, and geography.
