What areas does the series cover?

The series includes scholarly monographs dealing with legal issues of data protection and privacy, which can include many different areas of law, including comparative law, EU law, human rights law, international law, privacy on the Internet, and others. This may also include multidisciplinary works involving both legal and non-legal issues. The series aims to have a global scope, and welcomes national or regional studies.

What standard do books in the series have to meet?

The series aims to publish important and original books on legal issues of data protection and privacy that, in the view of the publisher and the General Editors, make an important contribution to scholarship. Books that have been accepted are listed on the web page of the series.

Is there a deadline for submissions to the series?

The series is ongoing, so there are no deadlines, and submissions are welcome at any time.

What is the procedure for submitting a proposal for the series?

Individuals interested in contributing to the series should contact Alex Flach at Oxford University Press at Prospective authors will be asked to submit a full proposal, in the format preferred by the publisher, which will be subject to outside peer review. Decisions about proposals are made jointly by the publisher and the General Editors in the first instance, and then on the advice of the referees, approved by the Publisher's board. It is assumed that full proposals are submitted exclusively to the publisher, and that any alternative arrangements will be disclosed and discussed at the outset.
