International Law and Domestic Legal Orders RSS

Interest in the interaction between international law and domestic legal orders has risen since the end of the Cold War. The last decades have witnessed a tremendous increase in international agreements on various subjects, impacting on domestic law and proving to be relevant to domestic litigation. These changes mean that domestic courts have the potential to make a greater contribution to the application and development of international law. At the same time, increased awareness of these domestic decisions is contributing to the development of international law and our understanding of the principles on which it is based. This series analyses and examines these trends, looking at questions of international law and domestic legal orders from a variety of perspectives.

Series Editor André Nollkaemper, Professor of Public International Law, University of Amsterdam and Series Editor August Reinisch, Professor of International and European Law, University of Vienna
