Walking you through the OSCE

Objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs) are the practical exams many medical schools use to assess clinical skills. They’re a circuit of tasks or ‘stations’, e.g. examinations, history- taking, catheterization. In psychiatric stations, you’ll usually interview an actor, who’s playing a patient or carer. Although details differ between universities, the following tips will help, wherever you are.
