Our products help people gain those skills.
That’s partly by enabling understanding. Oxford University Press publishes more than 500 dictionaries, thesauruses and language reference titles in 40 languages.
But we don’t simply document language. Definitions in many of our dictionaries are written specifically to support language learning and development.
Our children’s dictionaries define words in ways that children of different ages will comprehend, illustrated by examples they will relate to. Similarly our ELT dictionaries offer clear, straightforward definitions that learners of English can easily understand.
And we offer more than just dictionaries. Our school resources, reading schemes, and interactive assessment tools support language learning in the classroom and beyond.
It all helps millions of people worldwide understand each other better.
