Data Sheets

At left you can select saved versions of top industrial specifications for key circuit components, so you can design your own circuits in class. For updated data sheets, visit each manufacturer's Web site. These data sheets are available for consistency and convenience.

Circuit components and devices—such as diodes, amplifiers, and BJTs-all have different specifications when manufactured by different companies. The descriptions of these specifications are listed on Data Sheets.

The Data Sheets provided on this Web site are from three sources:

  1. Each of the commercial devices referred to in Microelectronic Circuits, 7th edition, is listed. We have maintained the data sheets referred to in the 6th edition as well.

  2. Each of the components referred to in the laboratory manual, Laboratory Explorations to Accompany Microelectronic Circuits, is listed.

  3. A representative selection of components of the types introduced in Microelectronic Circuits, 7th edition.

Saved Data Sheets are provided so that consistent specifications are available to instructors designing labs or assignments for students. To obtain the most current data sheet for a device, follow the links to each manufacturer's own Web site, provided on the index to the Data Sheets.

Indexes to the Data Sheets, both for the entire selection of Data Sheets, and for each sort of component, are available through the links at the left of this page.

A general introduction to the Data Sheets and their applications, by Kenneth C. (KC) Smith, is also available at the left.
