The Flute Book: A Complete Guide for Students and Performers is a one-stop guide to the flute, its performance, and its repertoire. Written by flutist and noted flute historian Nancy Toff, the book offers detailed information on choosing and caring for a flute, the members of the flute family, all aspects of performance, and the history of the flute and its literature. This third edition includes a completely revised and updated repertoire catalog of both solo and chamber works, as well as an extensive bibliography and appendices listing flute manufacturers, repair shops, sources for flute music and books, and flute clubs and related organizations worldwide.

This companion website will be the future home for any updates to the third edition. As the book was only recently released, the book is still up-to-date. Please check back with us every now and again for updates and additional notes from the author.
