Dominick Salvatore is Distinguished Professor of Economics at Fordham University. He was President of the International Trade and Finance Association; Chairman of the Economics Section of the New York Academy of Sciences; Chairman of the Society for Policy Modeling; and consultant to the Economics Policy Institute in Washington, the United Nations, and the World Bank.
Professor Salvatore is the author of 38 books including Managerial Economics in a Global Economy, 6th edition (2006) and International Economics, 8th edition (2003). He has also written the Schaum's Outline of Microeconomic Theory, 3rd edition (1992), which was translated in ten languages and sold more than one-half million copies.
Professor Salvatore is the editor of the Handbook Series in Economics for the Greenwood Press. He is coeditor of the Journal of Policy Modeling and Open Economies Review and is Associate Editor of the American Economist (the Journal of the International Honor Society in Economics). His research has been published in more than 100 articles in leading scholarly journals and presented at numerous national and international conferences.
