Michael H. Antoni, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami and Program Leader at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He heads the Biobehavioral Oncology, Epidemiology, Prevention, and Control research program at the University of Miami.
Gail Ironson, M.D., Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Miami and a board certified psychiatrist. A significant part of her research has involved implementing and examining the effect of cognitive-behavioral stress management with Michael Antoni and Neil Schneiderman in both HIV and cancer. She is recently the recipient of two NIH-funded R01's "Psychobiology Processes and Health in HIV," and "Efficacy of an Emotional Disclosure Intervention in HIV," and a grant from the Templeton/Metanexus foundation to study HIV-infected people's relationship to spirituality.
Neil Schneiderman, Ph.D., is the James L. Knight Professor of Health Psychology, Psychiatry, and Behavioral Science and Medicine at the University of Miami. He is the director of the University's Behavioral Medicine Research Center and the Division of Health Psychology in the Department of Psychology. He has received Distinguished Scientist Awards from both the American Psychological Association and the Society of Behavioral Medicine and the Outstanding Scientific Award from the International Society of Behavioral Medicine.
