Media Watch updates

It is important to keep up-to-date with developments in the world of business, as well as the public and non-profit (voluntary) sectors. Currently the world’s economy is being affected by the ‘credit crunch’. The Guardian newspaper reported on 22nd November 2008 that Honda, the Japanese car manufacture, is halting production for two months at its plant in Swindon, UK which employs nearly 5,000 people. The article reported that other companies are planning a similar strategy as the global demand for cars continues to fall. This is typical of numerous media articles at this time.
