Updated platform improves access to Oxford’s medical content

Clinical and nursing staff now have improved access to OUP’s renowned range of medical titles thanks to the upgrade of a key online service.

Oxford Medicine Online migrated to a new and improved platform today, offering quicker, simpler, and more intuitive access to high quality medical content.

Originally launched in 2009, the updated site now contains more than 250 titles across 50 medical disciplines, giving users fast access to a wide range of medical resources they need.

New functionality includes the ability to search publishing by career stage, medical speciality, or publishing series, as well as a new search function providing more precise results. Professionals can also personalize the site, and keep up-to-date with new developments using a new alerts service.

Medical publishing is an important part of OUP’s publishing, helping it to further its mission through providing high quality resources for health professionals. Many of its key ranges are included on Oxford Medicine Online, including Oxford Desk References, Oxford Medical Handbooks, and theOxford Textbook of Medicine. Hundreds more titles planned to join the system in the coming years.
