OUP India builds educational range with new resources
22 February 2013
OUP India boosted its important role in the country’s education sector with the launch of two new products at the New Delhi World Book Fair on 14 February.
The new resources, My Learning Train and Oxford Educate extend the branch’s reach into pre-school and digital classrooms in a bid to boost learning in these growing fields.
My Learning Train is pre-school series developed by author Sonia Relia designed to captivate children from a young age. Each book in this series is supported by a parents’ and teachers’ handbook as well as flashcards and a companion CD-ROM that integrates with the course book.
Oxford Educate is a digital aid for schools, integrating an e-book with interactive learning materials including animations, videos, slide shows, and lesson plans. The resources are designed around digital learning, and come complete with a test generator and assessment tools to help teachers make the most out of the resources.
Speaking at the launch of Oxford Educate, Casper Grathwohl, Senior Vice President, Group Strategy at OUP said: “Providing teachers with a breadth of high quality materials and support is central to our educational work at OUP. Oxford Educate has been designed to capture the imagination of teachers and students alike and are confident this will enrich the classroom experience and better prepare students for the challenges they face in today’s digital world.”
OUP India has been operating for more than 100 years and produces a wide range of educational and academic resources for a variety of audiences. To find out more see the OUP India website.
