Oxford University Press appoints new Chief Technology Officer, Simon Peachey

Oxford University Press (OUP) today announced the appointment of Simon Peachey as Chief Technology Officer.

Peachey brings a wealth of experience to OUP, having previously held a number of CTO and CIO roles across the media and telecoms sectors, including Reuters, Homechoice (now Talk Talk), and BT.

Simon will begin his role in March, sitting on OUP’s Executive Committee and leading the organization’s global technology function.

Nigel Portwood, OUP Chief Executive said of the appointment, “I am very excited about Simon joining OUP at such an important time for us. He has led major IT transformation programmes for global companies and I look forward to Simon strengthening our technology organization as we move towards a more digital future.”
